Discover wonders of the Land of the Sirens
The itinerary towards the Sorrentine Peninsula, “neighbour” to the Amalfi Coast offers a large number of stunningly beautiful places.
Departing from Castellammare di Stabia with its famous spas and passing through Vico Equense, you arrive in Meta di Sorrento that with its large and stunning beaches, is a forerunner to the most important and renowned city: Sorrento.
Always an unchallenged fascinating tourist destination, Sorrento, distanced from Eden Roc by just 15km, is famous in the world for its natural beauty, with its coast overlooking the sea and its vegetation rich in vineyards, olive and citrus trees. The lemons are one of the main gastronomical attractions of the city, so much so that it has won the title of “lemons of a geographically protected origin” – DOP).
The famous liqueur the Limoncello is also derived from the lemon and is an obligatory try when passing through the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Sorrento, however, must also be reported as an interesting artistic and cultural place. An absolute viewing must for its tradition of about 700 years is the Good Friday Procession that takes you back in time due to the emotion it evokes. The church of Saint Francis is connected to the municipal gardens that offer a beautiful panorama of the gulf of Naples.
Staying on the coast of the Sorrentine Peninsula, you may visit Massa Lubrense. Distanced from Sorrento and therefore less prone to crowding of tourists, Massa introduces the protected area of Punta Campanella, which divides the gulf of Naples and Salerno and offers its more adventurous visitors a panorama of rare beauty and uniqueness, thanks to the intense colours of the sea and the wild and pure vegetation.
