Like all the most beautiful things, even the creation of the Eden Roc Hotel in this movie-like location took time.
It is a story that has its roots in the dreams and hard work of the Casola family, who still run the Hotel today.
Historical context
It was back in the Sixties that a young Domenico “Dominic” Casola nurtured a dream of opening a hotel in Positano in the place where, as a child, he stopped to play and experienced moments of happiness.
In the following years, after spending a long time in the United States, Domenico returned home with that thought still firmly fixed in his mind: giving life to the Eden Roc.
1970 was the year in which it all began: the Eden Roc opened on August 1. From then on, numerous Guests would choose it for its unparalleled characteristics.
For a few years Domenico followed the development of his dream from America, with frequent visits to Italy, to closely oversee the expansion and renovation works.
Later on, after obtaining recognition in the United States as a Cavaliere del Bene, he returned to Positano for good. Since then, and for almost fifty years, he has managed the hotel with his wife Lina and his children: Raffaele and Lorenzo.
It was with them that the Casola Group started to expand their concept of hospitality in the last few years, maintaining the Eden Roc as its flagship hotel, while adding various accommodation solutions in the breathtaking town of Positano.
Closely linked to the Eden Roc are the La Sponda, Bellavista and Dominick Suites, which provide independent accommodation with all the distinctive services provided by the Hotel, while the splendid Villa Degli Dei and Villa Eden are perfect for those looking for privacy and prefer to stay in Positano independently.

We manage, always and in any case, to combine beauty and class with a family atmosphere, which we do not want to lose, and which is – rather – a characteristic that distinguishes the relationship the Casola family has with its Guests.
